I was recently discussing a new header design with a fantastic designer and artist, and I was kicking around ideas about the Music, Audio, Games, Music stuff in the header, which I never really thought was necessary as it takes up too much space and leaves the site a bit unfocused right off the bat.
I’ve been playing around with the 漢字 kanji above to try and make something that fits together using most of the words which describe me and this site. Above is pretty close to what me and my site are about recently. The top one, is obviously 日本 (nippon or nihon; Japan or Japanese). the on the left side we have 録音 (rokuon; which can mean audio recording or audio in general), the 音 means sound by itself and overlaps with the reading across 音楽家 (ongakuka; which can mean music, musician, or music house) and then finally the 楽 (gaku, which means enjoyment) extends down to 楽しい (tanoshii) which means enjoyment or fun 
Integrating that into the header as an icon somewhere could look really cool if done properly.
