New Host Makes Site Faster, Better, And Other Hopeful Words

by Jason Surguine on January 29, 2010

I recently moved the site over to Media Temple. The cheap hosting I was using simply wasn’t cutting it anymore.

If you’re reading this message, then that means everything is working and I didn’t screw it up too badly :)

If you’re not reading this message… wait, how could you not be reading this message if you’re in the middle of reading it? I thought so.

So far, I’m really impressed with Media Temple. The site is way more responsive than it was with the last host. Transition was mostly painless and their tools are top shelf.

It’s an interesting thing about web hosts: no matter how well respected and which great things you hear about one, you will always find an equal ratio of reviews saying they’re crappy. So the only thing I feel I can trust is word of mouth from respected individuals without an agenda (*cough* every A-list blogger getting free Rackspace Cloud hosting *cough*).

So if Media Temple is good enough for Binary Bonsai (an honest Game Developer who likes Sci-fi to an enviable degree), it must be pretty damn good.

Take a look around the site and let me know if anything is broken or not working and I’ll get it fixed up lickety-split!
