JLPT 2009 Level 3 Test Results: I Passed?

by Jason Surguine on February 2, 2010

This morning, I and thousands of other people received an email saying their test results were available on the JLPT website. That would be the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Or 能力試験 for short.

According to my scores, I passed. Yeah, the 能力試験3級. I’m happy that I passed, but I had a way better article written for it if I failed. :) I’ll edit it up and post it later.

A recent update to scare everyone who just checked their scores: The JLPT foundation (whoever they are [cue scary music]) sent out an email saying some technical difficulties happened and all test scores are now unavailable. My guess is thousands of people logging in at the same time and messing with their servers. Don’t worry, I’m sure it really was your score ;)

So… once they fix the technical difficulties, anyone else out there take the test? Did you pass/fail? Did you expect to/not?

If they don’t fix the technical difficulties, we’ll come back to this at the end of the month when they mail out paper versions to those who passed.

Class dismissed. :)

[Update: Scores are available online again (if you took it in the US) and my score is the same, so yes, I passed :) Awesome.]
