Behind the Music: Arvale: Treasure of Memories Ep. 1

by Jason Surguine on January 18, 2010

Many people are curious how the creative process goes when I write music. So I recorded a bunch of clips while I was writing the music for Arvale: Treasure of Memories.

It’s a short video at about 3 minutes and it it’ll show you pretty much how a song gets created from start to finish.

It may even emit a giggle or two ;)

What do you think? Ready to write your own music now? :)

That was a very entertaining video. You would think after years of knowing you and what exactly you do, such a video would fall pretty flat on me but it didn’t. This means one of two things, or perhaps even both simultaneously. 1.) I’m easily amused, particularly after slinging drinks for 8 hours, very late at night. 2.) I never ACTUALLY knew exactly what it was that you did. I think I only know gernerally what you do. Incidentally, that battle theme was in fact VERY awesome. I’ll be making a mojito or some such crap drink tomorrow and it will undoubtedly pop into my head. Happens at work a lot lately. {Ramble ramble..}

Hey Richard! 8 hours?! That’s professional drinking! I didn’t know you joined the club ;)

I’ll take number 1, 2, and the hidden number 3 all as compliments :)

Glad you stopped by and offered your thoughts, don’t be a stranger!
